The Portuguese President renews his country’s support for the United Nations resolutions on the issue of Western Sahara – the Algerian dialogue

Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Souza affirmed today, Tuesday, in Lisbon, that his country respects and supports United Nations resolutions on the issue of Western Sahara.

De Souza said in a joint statement with the President of the Republic, after the talks that brought them together, that Portugal’s position “is consistent, respects and supports the role of the United Nations and its decisions on the issue of Western Sahara, and seeks to achieve the principles of democracy in this regard.”
