Snow closes several national and state roads

The National Gendarmerie units announced the closure of several national and state roads due to the recent weather fluctuations and the accompanying heavy snowfall, according to what the National Gendarmerie Information and Traffic Coordination Center reported in a post on its official page, “My Way,” on Tuesday.

In this regard, the same center warned of the closure of roads due to snowfall in the states of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira, and the matter relates to the national road No. 30 linking the states of Tizi-Ouzou and Bouira exactly at the level of the Tizi Nkoilal region, the municipality of the deserts, and the national road No. 15 linking the states of Tizi-Ouzou and Bouira exactly at the level of the place called Kul Terouda, the municipality of Agbalo, in addition to the national road No. 33 linking the two states. Tizi Ouzou and Bouira, exactly at the level of the Tekjda area, Abchloul municipality, are closed due to snow accumulation.

As for the state of Tizi Ouzou, the same source revealed the closure of both the national road No. 33 linking the states of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira exactly at the level of the Assoul region of the municipality of Ait Boumehdi, and the national road No. 15 linking the states of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira exactly at the level of the Fajj-Tirourda region of the municipality of Ifrhounan, in addition to the national road No. 30 linking the states of Tizi Ouzou and Bouira exactly at the level of the Tizi-Nicolal region of the municipality of Iboudraren. This is due to snow accumulation.

The meteorological services warned, on Tuesday, of heavy snowfall and heavy thunderstorms, today, Wednesday, in many states of the country. The same authority also indicated that the states affected by heavy thunderstorms are Mostaganem, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saeeda, Relizane, Mascara, Tiaret, El Bayadh, Naama, M’Sila, Djelfa, and Chlef. As for the snow, it concerns each of the states of Batna. Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj and Naama.
