Today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received the ten members of the Committee participating in the work of the 11th ministerial meeting of the Committee of Ten Heads of State and Government of the African Union to reform the Security Council.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, confirmed that Africa wants reform that will remove injustice in the Security Council and restore the Council’s role and effectiveness in the face of successive crises and conflicts and their accumulation.
On Monday, Attaf stressed in a speech at the 11th ministerial meeting of the Committee of Heads of State and Government of the Ten African Union to Reform the Security Council that the futility of diplomatic initiatives to formulate the desired solutions makes Africa want reform of the Security Council.
The Foreign Minister added that previous experiences have proven that the strength of the African continent lies in the unity of its word and the rallying of its members around the noble goals they believe in.
Attaf stressed that the recent African momentum has proven Africa’s right and legitimacy in its demands for Security Council reform.
