The minister pointed out that Algeria has a road network that extends for more than 146,000 km, of which 5,932 km of dual roads and 1,572 km of car roads, stressing that projects under completion include duplication of 825 km of national roads and updating 1,400 km to enhance the link between the north and south. He added that the rail network, which covers 4,887 km, is supported by major strategic projects, most notably the Algerian line – Tamanrasset with a length of 2,006 km and the Al -Munjami line, Gar Jabilat –Bashar– Tandouf with a length of 950 km, 235 km was received from it, stressing that these projects open economic gates towards the African depth.
The minister stated that the transit road to the Sahara linking Algeria and Nigeria, which is about 10,000 km long, exceeded 90%, to constitute a vital axis of continental trade. He also highlighted the importance of developing 44 port, including 11 for foreign trade, and 51 airports, including 36 international airports, to secure the link between Algeria and its continental and international partners. The minister stressed that these achievements are not limited to material infrastructure, but also include national competencies that have accumulated great experience in implementing Great projectsAdding that Algeria seeks to export this experience to support joint projects in Africa, which represents a real lever to achieve economic integration and enhance continental development sovereignty.
