Major General Mohamed Ajroud receives the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The day before yesterday, Brigadier General Ibrahim Issa Bulama, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces, arrived in the territory of the Sixth Military Region, heading a military delegation, within the framework of strengthening bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and Niger, where he was received by Major General Mohamed Ajroud, Commander of the Sixth Military Region.

During this visit, Major General Mohamed Ajroud presided over a coordination meeting with the guest Nigerian delegation, in the presence of Major General Belkacem Hasnat, Head of the Department of Use and Preparation of the Staff of the People’s National Army and senior executives of the People’s National Army, in which the two sides discussed ways to embody on the ground the security approach adopted by the High Command of the armies of the two countries in the field of Confronting various forms of security threats, on top of which is combating terrorism and transnational organized crime, as well as illegal immigration. In this regard, it was agreed on the need to intensify field operational coordination by programming joint patrols along the entire border strip separating Algeria and Niger.

During this meeting, Brigadier General Ibrahim Issa Bulama affirmed the identical visions and analyzes of the leaderships of the two countries regarding current security issues. He also took the opportunity to confirm that his country is fully prepared to strengthen the bonds of bilateral military cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties signed the minutes of the meeting and exchanged symbolic gifts, after which the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces signed the golden record of the Sixth Military Region.
