Coach Madjid Bougherra, striker of the Qatari club Al Sailiya, included Adam Ouanas in the national reserve team roster participating in the upcoming Arab Cup.

The national team is defending its title achieved four years ago, starting on December 3 in Qatar.

Coach Bougherra’s squad competed in the fourth group alongside Iraq and the winner from Lebanon and Sudan, in addition to the qualifier from the Bahrain-Djibouti match.

The management of Al Sailiya Club, which is active in the Qatar Stars League, announced: On Wednesday, it announced that it had received a summons from the Algerian Federation for its player Adam Ouanas.

Wannas has participated in six matches since his recruitment from Al Sadd this summer, for a total of 264 minutes.

His last appearance in the Qatari League dates back to last Saturday, when Al Sailiya faced Al Duhail, coached by Algerian Djamel Belmadi. Drawing the seventh round.

The match ended in a positive draw, as Wannas registered his presence for 70 minutes.

Bawqara includes eyeliner

The reserve national team is preparing to participate in the Arab Cup, by holding a training camp in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Zakaria Drawi’s teammates will meet the Egyptian national team in a friendly match, which will allow the performance of some players to be evaluated before setting the final list.

During the international break, Bougherra used former names from the first team, such as the Greens’ historic scorer, Islam Slimani.

He also summoned the Kuwaiti Al-Qadisiyah Club midfielder, Victor Lakhal, in a move that confirms what he stated during the last press conference.

Bougherra stressed that he will deal with the Arab Cup in a pragmatic manner, as he will seek help from players who are ready and able to make the addition.

The team will later be supported by other elements, most notably the Qatari Al-Gharafa club playmaker, Yassin Brahimi, who is absent from the current camp.
