Youth Belouizdad travels to Egypt

The delegation of the first team of the Belouizdad Football Club moved this morning to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in anticipation of facing Al-Masry Club of Port Said in the African Confederation Cup.

The Algerian representative will face his Egyptian counterpart, on Saturday at exactly nine o’clock in the evening, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the continental competition, at the Suez Stadium in the Suez Governorate.

Impressive absences

German coach Siad Ramovich will have to form his squad without three prominent players: Shoaib Kaddad, Nofal Khasif, and Farid Al-Malali.

The absence of the trio continues due to injury, as Khasif was content to sit on the bench facing Future Al Ruwaisat, while not everyone attended the last training session at the Nelson Mandela Stadium annex yesterday.

The team is on the right track

Leader Abdul Raouf bin Ghaith’s teammates achieved seven victories during the last nine matches in all competitions.

Al-Shabab qualified for the first knockout round of the African Confederation Cup, after topping the third group with a total of 15 points (5 wins and 1 defeat).

Coach Ramovic acknowledged the difficulty of the task facing Al-Masry of Port Said in his interview with the CAF website, as he expected it to be mostly tactical.

The Egyptian team has offensive quality, according to Ramovic, which forces its players to adhere to tactical instructions.

The German coach also described the Egyptian clubs’ style as disciplined and cohesive, as it is difficult for the teams facing them to break through the various lines.

The Egyptian club is coached by Nabil El Kouki, who knows well the youth club in particular and Algerian football in general.

The Tunisian had several experiences in the first professional league championship, the most recent of which was with ES Setifi last season.

Al-Kouki led CS Belouizdad to win their last league championship in the 2022-2023 season, and their fourth in a row at that time.
