Youth are an essential pillar in the path of national development

The Minister of Youth in charge of the Supreme Youth Council, Mustafa Hidawi, stressed the necessity of modernizing youth activities and modernizing their contents and implementation mechanisms in keeping with current transformations, stressing that the doors of the sector are open to all creative initiatives and ideas that would support the youth movement and upgrade spaces of creativity and innovation for the benefit of this group.

This came during a working visit that led him to the state of Guelma, where he confirmed that the “Bravo Youth” initiative, in its third edition, aims to value volunteer work and encourage young people to actively engage in solidarity initiatives, in a way that enhances the values of citizenship and social cohesion, and makes this group an essential actor in community service. He also visited the innovation center in the municipality of Guelma, and met with a group of young people with entrepreneurial ideas, and listened to their projects and ambitions, stressing at the same time the need to attract more of this group and artisans. And supporting the spirit of innovation with the aim of creating local dynamism.

The Minister praised the dynamism witnessed by the center, appreciating the efforts made to embody modern youth programs and open new horizons for this category of creativity and innovation. He also stressed his keenness to be an effective partner and supporter of the youth sector in the state, stressing the importance of strengthening the partnership between the center and various youth institutions, and working to form the frameworks of the sector to enable them to open and run such modern clubs across various institutions, in keeping with the aspirations and modern interests of young people, especially after the ministry issued the Modern Activities Code. He also stressed The doors of the sector remain open to all initiatives and creative ideas that will support the youth movement, promote spaces of creativity and innovation for the benefit of our youth, and the necessity of extending the centers to other municipalities.

He also stressed the importance of involving this group in development paths and enhancing their culture of active citizenship, and participated in part of an interactive workshop on the Dz Young Leaders program launched by the Ministry, which aims to empower young people and instill in them the spirit of initiative.

The Minister praised the quality of modern activities provided for the benefit of young people, appreciating the efforts of the sector’s frameworks in implementing the code of activities approved by the Ministry, which reflects an actual commitment to developing youth work and improving its contents in line with the aspirations of young people.

In a speech he delivered before sector executives and representatives of youth actors, the Minister stressed the importance of developing the attractiveness of youth institutions by improving services, modernizing management systems and digitizing activities in a way that enhances innovation and keeps pace with youth requirements, with the necessity of activating cooperation with local youth associations as a basic partner in implementing programs and initiatives, while listening to the concerns of the executives and their proposals, and working to remove obstacles to ensure the implementation of new trends in the field.

The Minister stressed that the completed projects and those currently being completed fall within the comprehensive vision adopted by the country’s political leadership, which gives special importance to the youth category as it is a fundamental pillar in the path of national development, by supporting investment in young energies, expanding areas of participation, and opening broader horizons for creativity, initiative, and entrepreneurship.

He reiterated the importance of involving them in public affairs and enhancing their presence in various spaces of dialogue and decision-making, highlighting that active citizen participation is an essential foundation for building a balanced and renewed society, and that youth institutions are required to be true schools to establish a culture of initiative, commitment and responsibility.

The Minister also announced the organization of a national youth camp during the spring break for the benefit of 300 young people involved in youth institutions across the various states of the country, within the framework of encouraging youth tourism and promoting exchange and acquaintance.
