Algerian athlete Yasser Triki achieved the best global result in the triple jump competition for the year 2026, after registering, yesterday evening, Thursday, a jump of 17.35 meters, during the “Levan” International Forum indoors within the golden round of athletics.

After the end of the competition, at the “Levan” gathering in France, Triki expressed his happiness with this achievement, saying: “I am very happy to be here in Levan again, and I hope to participate in this forum until the end of my career.”
Yasser Triki added: “My coach and I expected that we would achieve a (jump) between 17.30 and 17.40 meters after we reached the final stages of preparation for the World Championship, and the main goal for me is the World Championship a month from now. The best performance is yet to be seen.”

The “Lifan” Forum witnessed the participation of other Algerian athletes, as Suleiman Mola took third place in the 800-meter race, achieving a wonderful time of 1 minute, 44 seconds and 80 hundredths, which is considered his personal best time. His colleague Muhammad Ali Qawand also came in fourth place with a time of 1m 44s and 92gm.
As for the young man, Haitham Shentif, he ranked ninth in the 1,500-meter race, with an average time of 3m 41s and 56gm.
