Weather fluctuations… interventions by public works departments in these states – New Algeria

Public works departments, across the various states of the country recently affected by weather disturbances, continue their intensive field efforts, by harnessing significant human and material capabilities, and in coordination with local authorities and various concerned departments, in embodiment of the instructions of the Minister of Public Works and Base Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, in order to confront the effects of weather fluctuations and ensure the continuity of transport and movement, as stated today, Sunday, in a statement by the Ministry of Public Works and Base Installations.

According to the same statement, following the snowfall in the state of Djelfa, workers from the Public Works Branch of the Ain al-Ebel district intervened at the level of National Road No. 01 in the Ras al-Rih area, opening the closed sections and spreading industrial salt.

The maintenance teams of the sub-division of the Idrisiya district also intervened on the national roads No. 1A and 1B, and the state road No. 122, in addition to a number of municipal roads belonging to the regional branch, by removing snow and spreading salt, with the aim of facilitating traffic and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.

In the state of Bouira, a field intervention was recorded by the Borj Akhrais branch, which consisted of spreading industrial salt at the level of the state road No. 14, as part of preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of slipping and ensuring the safety of road users. The Amchdala branch also intervened to remove snow on the national road No. 30 leading to the state of Tizi Ouzou via Saharij.

In El Bayadh State, workers in the Boualem subdivision intervened to open National Road No. 47, from km 272+200 to km 285+000, with the removal of snow.

In Jijel Province, the teams of the sub-section of the Al-Aouana district intervened to remove sliding stones at the level of State Road No. 137, in the municipality of Salma Ben Ziada, in the Ras Al-Hawzat area, in order to preserve the safety of road users and ensure the continuity of traffic.

In the state of Khenchela, the maintenance teams of the Public Works Sub-Department of the Chachar Department intervened, with the necessary material and human means, on the road network, especially the national road No. 83 and the two state roads No. 08 and 07, where snow was swept and salt was spread.

In the state of Tiaret, the road leading to the municipality of Fayja has been opened, while work on opening the road leading to the village of Sidi M’hamed Ben Yacoub continues, while harnessing all necessary human and material capabilities.

In the state of Tlemcen, the road linking Nador and Terni in the upper part of the state was opened, after public works departments intervened to remove the remnants of weather fluctuations.

The Public Works Sub-Department in Mazouna, Relizane Province, also intervened to remove mud and open State Road No. 52, at the level of the Ouled Mohamed Bridge.

In the state of Chlef, the Public Works Directorate, represented by the subsection of the Chlef district, intervened to remove weather waste at the level of National Road No. 19, from kilometer 68 to kilometer 85.
