Today, Monday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that a number of American warplanes had fallen inside Kuwaiti territory, confirming that all of their crews survived.
The Ministry’s official spokesman explained that the competent authorities immediately began search and rescue operations, as the crews were evacuated and transferred to the hospital to check on their health condition, indicating that their condition is stable. Coordination was also made directly with the United States of America to determine the circumstances of the accident and take the necessary technical measures.
The same source confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the causes of the plane crash, calling for information to be obtained from the relevant official authorities.
Social media platforms circulated video clips showing the downing of an American warplane, as the two pilots appeared jumping with a parachute before the plane hit the ground. Activists indicated that it was an F-15, but there was no official confirmation of the type of plane.
It is not yet known whether the accident resulted from a technical defect or other operational circumstances, in light of a tense regional atmosphere witnessing rapid military developments.
