Trump: The strikes on Iran will continue, and Washington only accepts unconditional surrender

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that US strikes on Iran will continue, stressing Washington’s rejection of any agreement with Tehran unless it announces its unconditional surrender. His statements came in response to the statements of the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and a number of Iranian leaders, considering that this reflects the decline of Iran’s influence in the region.
In an interview with CBS News, Trump described Larijani as “already defeated” and that he did not care about his statements, stressing that Iran was responsible for the bombing of an elementary school in the city of Minab, which resulted in the deaths of about 175 children, denying any American involvement in the attack.
Trump added that the United States had managed to weaken the Iranian army and the regime, and that it would continue to expand its goals inside Iran, pointing to the destruction of missiles, drone factories, and the naval and air forces, considering that all elements of the Iranian army were “almost destroyed.”
On the other hand, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian denied that Iran’s statements of apology to the countries of the region meant suspending the response to the attacks, stressing that Tehran will continue to respond to any attacks, but it does not seek conflict with neighboring countries.
