Kylia Nemmour looked very emotional after the final marking of the floor motion machine, as the Algerian recorded a score of 12.866.
The fourth apparatus competition decided the final standings for the world championship, as Chinese Zhang Qingying was given third place at the expense of Kiliya.
Namour fell while performing the balance beam movements, which affected her score by the jury, which deducted 0.3 from her score, making her ranked 15th in the ranking of this device.
On the other hand, Namour dominated the competitions on her favorite apparatus, the parallel bars of different heights, and won the top spot with a score of 15.166.
Russian Angelina Melnikova won the championship in her favor, surprising Nammour and the followers after the Algerian was the first candidate to snatch the gold medal.
Melnikova previously won the world title in 2021, which was organized by Japan’s Kitakyushu, where she topped the overall standings with a score of 56.632.
The results of the 50th edition of the World Championship in Japan were repeated four years ago, as the second-place finisher was American Liane Wong.
Wong was runner-up to her Russian counterpart again, but with a lower score this time, as she finished the competition with a score of 54.966.
Chinese teenager Zhang surprised everyone, winning a bronze medal in her first participation in the gymnastics World Cup.
It is worth noting that the Paris 2024 gold medal holder, Kilia Nammour, left her club, Avon Beaumont, after the Summer Olympics.
