The Ministry of Health revealed that 3 deaths and 81 wounded, as a result of the stampede incident that occurred in the July 5 stadium, confirming that all human and material capabilities have been harnessed, to ensure the optimal sponsorship of the injured to the end of their recovery and their return to their homes, while the President of the Republic ordered the establishment of an investigation committee to determine the circumstances of this painful accident.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement, on Sunday, that, with the commission of the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Taboun, the Minister of Health, Abdel Haq Sayyi, will transfer, on Saturday evening, accompanied by the Minister of Youth, Mustafa Haidawi, and the advisor to the President in charge of Communication, Kamal Sidi Saeed, to health institutions to see the status of the injured as a result of the stampede that occurred in the July 5 stadium.
The minister stood on the health of the injured and the conditions of their sponsorship, as the University Hospital received 38 injured people, while three deaths were recorded, and Bin Aknoun Hospital received 27 injured people, while Bab Al -Wad Hospital received 16 injured people, and a number of them left hospitals after receiving treatment, and the matter relates to 32 injured from Bani Mousous Hospital, 24 from Bin Aknoun Hospital, and 14 from Bab Al -Wad Hospital.
In this context, and in the interest of ensuring the optimal health care for all the injured, the Minister made instructions to the interests of the medical emergency at the University Hospital Center, Bani Moss, the Bab Al -Wadi Hospital, and the specialized hospital institution in Ben Aknoun, to harness all human and material capabilities, and to ensure the optimal sponsorship of the injured until their similarity to healing and their return to their homes.
The Minister of Health, in his own name and in the name of all the tires and employees of the sector, extended its deepest condolences and sincere feelings of sympathy to the families of the victims, hoping that God Almighty will bless them with the mercy of his mercy, and to grant a speedy recovery for all the wounded.
The Minister also noted the efforts made by medical and semi -medical teams, as well as security and administrative agents, in ensuring the health condition of the injured through various hospital institutions concerned.
In turn, the interests of the Prime Minister confirmed in a statement, on Sunday afternoon, that the President of the Republic, Abdul Majeed Taboun, ordered the establishment of an investigation committee to determine the circumstances of this tragic accident.
The statement stated: “following the tragic accident that occurred in the July 5 stadium on Saturday evening, June 21, 2025, in which supporters of God’s mercy be upon them and the hurry of the healing of the injured, and by order of the President of the Republic, Abdul Majeed Taboun, an investigation committee was created, to determine the circumstances of this tragic accident and determine the aspects of palaces and responsibilities and hold those involved, with the presentation of its report in the closest deadlines to take the necessary legal measures to prevent Repeat these painful accidents.
This committee includes in particular representatives of the ministries of the Interior, Justice, Housing and Sports, in addition to the competent departments of the National Gendarmerie Command, the General Directorate of National Security, the Technical Control Authority for buildings, and officials of the Mouloudia Algeria Club.
