This is the outcome of civil protection interventions for the year 2025 – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Civil Protection Services reported that their initial total for the year 2025 amounted to 1,206,004 interventions across the various states of the country, as part of their daily tasks aimed at protecting lives and property.

Regarding traffic accidents, 82,486 interventions were recorded, during which 89,888 injured people were treated and 2,066 deaths were recorded.

As for incidents of suffocation and carbon monoxide poisoning, interventions amounted to 930 cases, with 2,196 people being treated and 130 deaths recorded.

In the field of drowning incidents during the summer season at beaches and water bodies, 76,759 interventions were recorded, during which 53,228 people were rescued, and 261 deaths were recorded.

In its statement, Civil Protection confirmed that these numbers reflect the scale of the challenges it faces, stressing the need to adhere to safety procedures, whether in traffic, using heating and gas devices, or while swimming.

The Civil Protection Services renewed their call on citizens to be aware and cautious, and to immediately report any danger, in order to preserve lives and property.
