This is the new company “Sial” – New Algeria

Today, Tuesday, the General Director of the Algerian Water and Purification Company “SIAL”, Mohamed Reda Boudab, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Corporation’s Syndicate, Khaled Mahez, supervised the signing ceremony of a collective agreement aimed at enhancing the social and professional gains of workers and improving the work climate within the Corporation.

This agreement comes as an embodiment of the instructions of the Minister of Irrigation, Taha Darbal, calling for taking care of the social and professional status of workers in public economic institutions subject to the sector’s supervision, and promoting social dialogue as a basic mechanism to support professional stability and improve performance.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of a number of the Foundation’s executives and representatives of the social partner, including the Deputy Director General, Mr. Amin Hamaden, and the Director of Human Resources, Mr. Mohamed Boukhalfa, in addition to members of the equal-member committee and representatives of the Foundation’s union.

The collective agreement is based mainly on improving the compensation system, valuing the efforts of workers, and improving their professional and social conditions, in recognition of the vital role they play in ensuring the continuity of public service.

In his speech on the occasion, the Director General of SIAL stressed that this agreement represents an actual commitment towards the corporation’s workers and a practical translation of the directives of the Ministry of Irrigation aimed at improving the professional and social conditions of the sector’s workers.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Corporation’s Union considered that the agreement constitutes a real gain for the workers and embodies the seriousness of the social dialogue within the Corporation. He appreciated the support of the Irrigation Federation and its accompaniment to the process of improving the professional and social conditions of the sector’s workers.

This agreement will enter into force starting in February 2026, ensuring a direct and tangible impact on the social status of workers in accordance with the formulas and ratios specified in its provisions.
