According to a publication by the International Astronomy Center on the X website, some countries began the month of Ramadan on Monday, March 11, 2024 AD, and these countries will observe the Eid crescent on Monday, April 8.
As for other countries that are silent starting Tuesday, March 12, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Oman, Jordan, Libya and Morocco. It will observe the Eid crescent on Tuesday, April 9.
Based on the astronomy center, and for the countries that will see the crescent on Monday, April 8. Seeing it on that day is impossible because the moon sets before the sun and the conjunction occurs after sunset. Therefore, these countries will complete the month of Ramadan with thirty days. Wednesday, April 10, will be Eid al-Fitr.
As for the countries that will investigate Crescent moon On Tuesday, April 9, seeing the crescent on that day is possible using a telescope. Therefore, it is expected that most of these countries will announce the sighting of the crescent on that day. Wednesday, April 10, will also be Eid al-Fitr.
