The Director General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, Taher Braik, announced that the first flight for Algerian pilgrims for the Hajj season 1447 AH/2026 AD will depart next April 29 from Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers towards the Holy Land.

Braik explained, during a press conference hosted by the Jarida Forum The MujahidThe process of transporting pilgrims will take place through 12 airports at the national level, including the airports of Constantine, Oran, Touqourt and Ghardaia, with a total of 144 flights scheduled to transport pilgrims to the Holy Land.

The Director General stressed the Bureau’s keenness to ensure the best conditions for pilgrims, by focusing on religious, jurisprudential and health awareness and training aspects, to enable them to perform their rituals in comfortable and safe conditions.

The Bureau is also working to improve the quality of services provided, by expanding the number of neighborhood centers it supervises, which exceed 600 centers, in addition to providing nine guides and guidance publications, and broadcasting awareness flashes through its official pages on social networking sites.

The process of electronic payment for the cost of Hajj has also recorded an increasing demand, which enhances transparency in the management of the process in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Algeria, and various banking institutions.

Braik concluded his call to pilgrims not to be led by rumors and false information spread on some pages, stressing the necessity of relying on the official pages of the Bureau to obtain the correct information.
