This is new for the next school entry

The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Al-Saghir Saadawi, revealed a number of important amendments that the educational system will witness with the next school entry 2026-2027, renewing the sector’s progress towards reducing the number of teachers in the various levels and determining powers and tasks among members of the educational family, as well as the trend towards specialization by assigning each subject to a specialized professor, in addition to reducing the density of school programmes.

During his supervision of the launch of the meetings to prepare for school entrance, Saadawi confirmed that one of the most prominent developments was the amendment of some academic subjects and teaching times in the second year of middle school, in addition to extending the process of reducing programs to include the fourth year of middle school, within the framework of continuing to reform the educational system and improving the quality of education.

Saadawi highlighted the Ministry’s new trend of assigning each subject to the professor specializing in it, as specialized professors will be allocated to the subjects of Islamic education, English language, physical education, and scientific subjects, after they were previously assigned to professors or teachers of other subjects.

In this regard, the Minister said: “There is a trend towards assigning each subject to the professor who specializes in it, which would provide better quality in educational performance,” indicating that, starting next season, the teaching of Islamic education will be assigned to specialists after it was taught by Arabic language professors. The first official in charge of the sector also revealed the inclusion of a new curriculum for the English language subject on the basis of the improvements that have occurred in this field.

Reducing the intensity of school programs

Saadawi pointed out that the amendments will include reducing the intensity of school programmes, especially in the primary education stage, as it is the stage in which basic learning and basic competencies are consolidated, while making the school a stimulating space for learning and the flourishing of the learner’s personality, by promoting scientific, sports and cultural activities.

In continuation of the effort to reduce the program for the primary education stage, the Minister confirmed that the process will continue during the next school entry, when the structure of the subjects of the fourth year of primary school will be improved, explaining that the process of reconsidering the educational system from a pedagogical aspect and reducing the intensity of programs coincides with another effort aimed at improving school life, and making the school environment a catalyst for creativity and innovation, through promoting school sports and sporting activities, enhancing cultural and scientific activities and discovering talents.

The first semester was a success

In his evaluation of the current school season, the Minister of National Education revealed that the first semester was successful and the results were good, adding that the remaining two semesters will be in the same way of teaching, despite their shortness. The Minister stressed that improving the social and professional status of the sector’s members remains one of the Ministry’s priorities, calling at the same time on all actors in the educational field to mobilize to make the remainder of the current school season a success, because the interest of the student requires everyone’s support and the improvement of qualitative indicators in their investment dimensions.

The Minister of Education called on all officials and education directors to monitor the situation of educational institutions and the progress of teaching in them, especially in the states that have witnessed weather fluctuations in recent days, and to intensify regular visits to determine the level of damage and ensure that the institutions are ready to receive students.

Saadawi also stressed the need to monitor the situation in the field of educational institutions affected by the recent weather disturbances, and to take the necessary measures to take care of them, especially ensuring heating and renovations, ensuring school transportation, and providing hot meals.
