These are the procedures to ensure the regular provision of medicines during the month of Ramadan – New Algeria

The Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, through its monitoring and vigilance device, is currently focusing its efforts to ensure rapid intervention when needed and to provide medicines on a regular basis during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, this came during its Monitoring and Vigilance Agency holding, today, Monday, at its headquarters, an important meeting to evaluate the level of supply of the national market with medicines and pharmaceutical materials, in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, which usually witnesses an increase in demand for some medicines.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, the current situation in the availability of essential medicines was reviewed, and indicators related to seasonal consumption were analyzed, with a focus on ensuring continuity of supply and avoiding any potential imbalances.

In the same context, the Ministry stressed the importance of continuous coordination between all actors in the sector, including producers, distributors and importers, in addition to health institutions and relevant administrative bodies, to ensure rapid intervention when needed and the provision of medicines on a regular basis.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to guarantee the citizen’s right to treatment, and to continuously meet the needs of the national market, especially during the month of Ramadan, which reflects the commitment of the health authorities to maintaining pharmaceutical security in the country.
