On Sunday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Majeed Taboun, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was started with the presentation of the agenda that includes a study and discussion of the Finance Law 2026 and two laws that include the creation of the Medal of the People’s National Army and military medals, and a presentation in the irrigation sector, after which the decisions were taken.
In this context, the President made Taboun instructions and directives related to several aspects, as the Finance Law 2026 was approved.
1- Regarding the Finance Law 2026:
The Council of Ministers approved the draft finance law, taking into account the following president’s directives:
He stressed that the Finance Law does not include any increases that exhaust the purchasing power of the citizen.
Establishing a plan to update and modernize the mechanisms of the National Bureau of Statistics, structurally and technically.
The creation of supplements of the Bureau that includes states and municipalities, so that the state is achieved a statistical vision based on facts, from the depth of Algeria.
Working on a non -compressive tax container, more effectively in terms of collection, to fight evasion and negative behaviors in the field of tax.
The next finance law should be encouraging investment and competition.
That the Finance Law does not include sectoral decisions, to attract admiration and popularity, but rather to achieve added added value and feasibility feasibility, with guaranteed results.
2- Concerning a presentation on the completion of five new seawater desalination plants:
Among the decisions of the President Taboun is to deepen the study of the establishment of these stations, taking into account the states, which are witnessing fluctuation in the distribution.
It is also an order to give priority to the highly populated cities, which are witnessing scarcity of rain, especially in the high plateaux.
3- Concerning a presentation on the position of provision with drinking water:
The president ordered the presentation of the offer and deepening its content to the next meeting of the Council of Ministers
The President Taboun directed that the distribution of desalinated water from the new stations should reach a range of no less than 250 km from the coast, provided that the decision to settle these stations during the next cabinet meeting.
The President of the Republic again stressed the need to show the state culture towards our citizens by controlling a well -studied calendar for the distribution of water and its strict implementation.
4- Concerning an executive decree project that includes canceling the classification of peasant plots:
The President of the Republic refused to transform agricultural lands from its original nature to establish public projects, directing the government to adopt other mechanisms to find the pockets of real estate vessels, these projects, provided that they are from the lands that are not suitable for agriculture.
The council also approved two draft laws that include the creation of the Medal of the People’s National Army and military decorations.
To conclude the cabinet meeting with approval of individual decisions regarding appointments and ending tasks in high jobs in the country.
