The National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data announced, in a statement on Monday, new digital procedures that enable political parties and associations to comply with the Law on the Protection of Natural Persons in the field of processing personal data.
The statement of the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data stated that the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data has placed on its official website www.anpdp.dz “the procedures for creating an account and accessing its digital portal, in order to fill out authorization forms and license applications for processing data containing data of a personal nature, in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of Law 18-07 amended and supplemented relating to the protection of natural persons in the field of processing data of a personal nature.”
This step, according to the same statement, falls within the framework of “the National Authority’s keenness to accompany associations and political parties and enable them to comply with the provisions of Law 18-07, by simplifying administrative procedures and adopting digital solutions that will facilitate the performance of legal obligations related to the processing of data of a personal nature.”
In a related context, the National Authority has placed three electronic addresses on its website, dedicated to dealing with legal and technical concerns and questions in this field.
In the same regard, the same authority called on all associations and political parties to review its official website, as well as take the initiative to complete the required procedures, stressing at the same time “its commitment to accompany and provide the necessary support, within the framework of respect for applicable legislation,” according to what was included in the same source.
