Zerrougui gives instructions to redouble efforts to implement “Tout Fiber”

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Sayed Ali Zerrougui, met with self-contractors active in the field of installing optical fibers, where he instructed them to redouble efforts to realize the goal of “Tout Fiber”, which aims to generalize connectivity with optical fibers by the beginning of the year 2027.

The Ministry’s statement explained that Zerrougui supervised a meeting with the owners of small and mini-enterprises and self-contractors active in the field of installing optical fibers, representing the country’s 58 states, as a representative sample out of more than 4,800 companies contracting with Algeria Telecom.

This meeting falls within the framework of “the Minister’s keenness to listen directly to the concerns of field partners and exchange visions about the action plan drawn up for the coming period, as an embodiment of the goal of ‘All Fiber’, which aims to generalize connectivity with optical fibers and make Algeria fully connected to this technology by the beginning of the year 2027.”

In this regard, the Minister gave his directives to “redouble efforts in order to achieve this strategic goal,” as he highlighted the real opportunities that accelerating the pace of works will lead to creating new job positions in this field, reassuring customers regarding the post-fiber optic rollout phase, by “directing them towards the areas of maintenance and technical sustainability of networks.”

In the same context, Zerrougui stressed “the necessity of establishing incentive mechanisms for the benefit of small enterprises and self-contractors,” with his strict emphasis on “respecting standards of quality and mastery in providing service to Algeria Telecom customers.”

He also directed instructions to “develop a digital platform as soon as possible, enabling projects to be tracked and billed in real time, with the aim of overcoming administrative and financial obstacles, in a way that enhances the effectiveness of performance and establishes a climate of trust between the various parties,” the statement adds.
