The Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Soria Moulouji, renewed the Algerian state’s commitment, through its sector, to continue strengthening the system of rights of people of determination and their gains in social inclusion in order to achieve effective participation in various fields, and contribute to national and economic construction.
This came in a congratulatory message to the Minister on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day for People with Special Needs, corresponding to March 14 of each year. The text of the Minister of Solidarity’s congratulations stated: “On the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of People with Special Needs, corresponding to March 14 of each year, I am pleased to address the people of high determination with the most sincere expressions of appreciation for you, with sincere pride in your strong will and your creative energies that are fragrant with hope and challenge.”
She added: “On this honorable occasion, I renew to you the commitment of the National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Issues Sector to continue strengthening the system of your rights and gains in social inclusion in order to achieve effective participation in various fields and contribute to the national and economic construction of our country. I wish you continued good health, and happy new year.”
Local authorities across the nation’s states supervised the activities of celebrating the National Day for People of Determination, which falls on March 14 of each year, organized under the slogan “Enhancing the entrepreneurial capabilities of people with special needs for a comprehensive and sustainable future.”
The event began with visits to various exhibitions highlighting the activities and creativity of children from various centers and institutions affiliated with the National Solidarity Sector, associations and sector partners, to also highlight the most important technologies and smart solutions that facilitate their daily lives. The program for this event also included an elaborate recitation of clear verses from the Holy Quran recited by schoolchildren for disabled children. The event also included theatrical performances performed by children with special needs, during which they highlighted their energies and talents.
Within the framework of the special care given by public authorities to the category of people with special needs, by encouraging and supporting their integration into society, an important number of various devices were distributed to people of determination, such as three-wheeled motorcycles, electric wheelchairs, wheelchairs, hearing aids, digital tablets for braids with writing pens, talking calculators, and special devices for the blind.
This event took place in the presence of heads of state popular councils, members of security committees, representatives of parliament from both chambers, heads of departments and municipalities, members of the National Observatory for Civil Society, executive directors and representatives of advisory bodies and associations.
