The state of Algiers is drawing up a proactive plan in preparation for the month of Ramadan

The state of Algiers has drawn up a proactive and comprehensive plan for careful preparation to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, according to what was revealed by the minister and governor of the state of Algiers, Mohamed Abdel Nour Rabhi, during the regular session of the state People’s Assembly.

Rabhi said, in the speech he delivered Thursday, at the opening ceremony of the Council’s session, that the state of Algeria, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, “developed a proactive and comprehensive plan for careful preparation to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of preserving purchasing power, strengthening solidarity, and providing the best conditions and services for citizens.”

In this regard, he added that this planned plan comes in close coordination with members of the State Council and is based on protecting families with limited income, controlling the market and ensuring the abundance of widely consumed materials, noting that, for this purpose, a financial cover has been allocated for the solidarity grant.

On the other hand, and within the framework of the projects of the strategic vision for the development and modernization of the state of Algiers, Rabhi stressed that the draft preliminary budget for activity in 2026 “embodies a development vision consistent with our common ambition to upgrade the country’s capital to the ranks of major cities, as well as to ensure the quality and continuity of public facility services for the benefit of citizens and improve the quality of their daily lives by supporting areas related to their framework of living, according to the same source.”

By the way, he praised the support and accompaniment that the projects completed during the years 2024 and 2025 received from the State People’s Council, especially in the field of housing, which allowed “the distribution of approximately 70 thousand housing units in various forms, a number that represents more than 8 percent of the capital’s residential area.”

The work of the regular session of the State People’s Assembly was attended by representatives of Parliament from its two chambers, members of the Security Committee, along with representatives of the Supreme Council for Youth, the National Observatory for Civil Society, and the local representative of the mediator of the Republic, in addition to the honorary presence of the President of the State People’s Assembly of Tindouf.

The session’s activities included, in addition to presenting the activity of the Algerian state during the years 2024 and 2025, discussing and approving the initial draft budget.
