The state is making unremitting efforts to promote the Arabic language

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the national community abroad, Sufyan Shayeb, announced the launch of several initiatives with an educational dimension, which are being worked on in coordination with various ministerial sectors, in a way that responds to the needs of the community related to the cultural and educational aspects.

On the occasion of his supervision, with the President of the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language, Saleh Belaid, on Sunday, of the ceremony to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language, which was organized with the participation of our diplomatic and consular centers abroad, Chaib reviewed the ongoing efforts aimed at opening a number of Algerian cultural centers abroad as incubating spaces for the Arabic language and cultural exchange, in addition to organizing educational and cultural visits to the homeland, for the benefit of pupils and students from our community abroad.

This celebration has a distinctive character as it witnesses, for the first time, the participation of daughters and sons of the national community abroad, through a rich and diverse program that includes educational activities and various cultural performances, prepared and organized on this occasion. It extended over the course of an entire month, including lectures, workshops, intellectual meetings, competitions, and artistic performances, through which they demonstrated the extent of their attachment to their national affiliation, their pride, and their close connection to their cultural and civilizational heritage.

The Secretary of State noted the importance given by the higher authorities to the issue of promoting the Arabic language and the tireless efforts made by the state to teach the Arabic language for the benefit of Algerian children residing outside the country, as it is one of the basic pillars of national identity and an essential element for preserving the cultural and civilizational belonging of the people of the country.

For his part, the President of the Supreme Council for the Arabic Language praised the distinctive and exceptional nature of this demonstration and the effective and qualitative participation of members of our community present in all parts of the world, calling on them to continue their efforts in order to preserve their cultural and linguistic heritage in a way that contributes to strengthening their ties with the motherland. He also praised the existing cooperation relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its body in order to ensure the spread of the Arabic language among our citizens abroad.
