The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, confirmed that the treatment and settlement of the legal status of members of trade union organizations is carried out in full participation and agreement with the social partners within the framework of the provisions of Law No. 23-02 and Executive Decree No. 23-360. He also provided directives to the directorates regarding the appointment of those concerned.
The Minister explained, in a video conference with education directors, that the Ministry is keen for this settlement to take place in a way that preserves the rights of all employees.
He also stressed that the right to unionize is constitutionally guaranteed, noting that the aim of these measures is to correct the legal and administrative situations of members of union organizations.
The Minister of National Education gave instructions to education directors on the necessity of carrying out the processes of appointing those concerned to their positions, in conditions of respect and objectivity, and merely recording the administrative statuses represented by enrollment or absence without taking any other measures, until completing the study of the files submitted by the trade union organizations at the central level.
