The second phase of the national polio vaccination campaign will begin next Sunday – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The second phase of the national polio vaccination campaign will start from Sunday, December 21, until the 27th of the same month, according to what the Ministry of Health announced.

The Ministry stated that the first phase of the campaign, which was organized during the period from November 30 to December 6, 2025,

It enabled the vaccination of 3,823,066 children across various states of the country, between the ages of two months and five years.

She explained that the coverage rate reached 95 percent, which is in accordance with the standards and requirements of the World Health Organization.

This reflects the success of efforts made to ensure the protection of children from this disease.

The Ministry of Health called on all parents to ensure that their children within the target age group are vaccinated during the second phase, which extends from December 21 to 27, 2025.

Then the third phase is scheduled from January 25 to 31, 2026.

It also confirmed that all neighborhood health structures designated for vaccination remain recruited throughout the campaign periods.

In order to provide the best reception conditions and ensure the smooth conduct of the child vaccination process.
