The Sahrawi issue and the situation in the Middle East are the focus of the call between Attaf and his French counterpart – New Algeria

On March 15, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call from his French counterpart, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot.

The two ministers reviewed the reality of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the prospects available to them.
The two parties also exchanged views on the situation in the Sahel-Saharan space, as well as on developments related to the process of settling the Western Sahara issue. On the other hand, the two ministers also touched on the dangerous developments taking place in the Middle East region and their serious consequences at the regional and international levels.

In this context, special focus was placed on the situation in Lebanon, as it constitutes a common source of concern for the two countries.
