From the heart of pain and from one of the wounded civil defense crews in Gaza, he says to me today in a broken voice:
“By God, I cry every day. I gave all my time and effort to serve the citizens, and today I am suffering from severe pain. Do I not have the right to receive treatment?
Don’t I have the right to live like others?
Why does the world close its door in my face, when I have repeatedly opened my chest to death?!”
These heroes who carried lives on their shoulders deserve life, not neglect.
They have the right to receive treatment abroad, just as others are treated in all parts of the world.
Their wounding is not ordinary, but rather a new test for humanity and the global conscience.
