The Prime Minister supervises the inauguration of the Governor of the Bank of Algeria – New Algeria

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Sifi Gharib supervised the inauguration ceremony of Mohamed Lamine Labou as Governor of the Bank of Algeria, commissioned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Bank of Algeria, in the presence of Finance Minister Abdelkarim Bouzard, along with a number of high officials and officials of this financial institution.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated the new governor for the confidence he had received, wishing him success in performing his duties, especially in light of the dynamism that the national economy is experiencing thanks to the economic projects launched by the President of the Republic, and the major challenges and stakes it poses that require strengthening financial stability and consolidating the foundations of governance and transparency.
The Prime Minister stressed the necessity of joint work and permanent coordination between various actors to create a new dynamism in the banking sector and keep pace with economic projects, in line with the state’s strategic directions and ongoing economic reforms, calling for working in a team spirit and unifying efforts to raise the level of performance of the financial system and effectively contribute to supporting growth and strengthening the position of the Algerian economy in light of the current regional and international challenges.
