The Prime Minister launches a dialogue with the taxi drivers union to strengthen the transportation sector – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Prime Minister Seifi Gharib met today, Saturday, with representatives of the National Union of Taxi Transporters, in the presence of the Ministers of Interior and Transport, and the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Control, in a meeting in which he stressed the importance of developing the transport sector and enhancing the continuity of public service.

The Prime Minister explained, according to what the union reported, that the transport sector receives special follow-up by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, due to its strategic role in the public services system. He announced the launch of organized workshops according to a specific timetable, aiming to address the accumulated professional and social files and improve working conditions for professionals.

The Minister indicated his confidence in the next stage, stressing that the sector is on the verge of a qualitative leap that will improve the performance of public service, praising the awareness of professionals and their commitment to ensuring the continuity of this vital service.

For its part, the union valued the meeting, considering it a step to strengthen bridges of trust between state institutions and professionals, and affirmed its readiness to engage positively in every reform endeavor that serves the interests of the sector and maintains its stability.
