The Prime Minister inspects Annaba port expansion works – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib made a working and inspection visit to the state of Annaba, devoted to inspecting the progress of the Annaba port expansion works, and in particular the project to complete the mining quay, which is part of the integrated phosphate project.

A statement by the Prime Minister’s interests explained that this visit took place in the presence of the Minister of State, the Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of the Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Saeed Saeed, and the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, along with the Minister of Industry, Yahya Bashir, and the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders, Abdelmalek Tashrift.

This visit comes in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which stress the necessity of accelerating the pace of completion of the mining berth within the framework of the Annaba Port expansion project, given its strategic importance in supporting the national phosphate chain, enhancing the port’s capabilities to receive ships of large tonnage, and improving the flow of Algerian exports to global markets.
