The Prime Minister chairs the first session of the National Investment Council, in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Pursuant to the instructions of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister chaired, today, Tuesday, the work of the first session of the National Investment Council, held within the framework of the provisions of Law No. 22-18 related to investment, in order to evaluate the performance of the National Investment Promotion Agency and enhance its effectiveness, according to an official statement of the Ministry.

This meeting was devoted to studying the extent of implementation of the legislative provisions framing the National Investment Promotion Agency, in addition to examining a number of measures aimed at improving its performance, especially by optimally meeting the aspirations of investors and improving the business climate.

The session also witnessed the official launch of the process of preparing the national investment strategy, which aims to enhance the attractiveness of investment, promote it and direct it, according to a medium- and long-term vision, in line with the state’s directions aimed at diversifying the national economy and stimulating productive investment.
