The President of the Republic stresses transparency in African industries – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, confirmed that Algeria’s participation as a guest of honor in the “Cimica Chad 2026” exhibition in N’Djamena reflects its firm commitment to supporting African cooperation and strengthening the South-South partnership, based on the firm conviction that the continent’s future is built with the integration of its capabilities and resources and with the help of its people.
The President of the Republic explained, in a speech delivered on his behalf by the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, that Africa is replete with enormous natural resources.
Especially in the fields of hydrocarbons and strategic minerals. However, the real challenge lies in the proper management of these resources, valuing them and turning them into a lever for sustainable economic and social development.
And creating added value and jobs to serve the aspirations of the African people.
President Tebboune stressed the need to establish good governance for the extractive industries sector, based on transparency and localization of knowledge.
Technology transfer, respect for environmental standards, and promotion of local content, while encouraging responsible investments and balanced partnerships that achieve mutual benefit.
In this context, the President of the Republic highlighted the Algerian experience in the fields of hydrocarbons and mines, which is based on national control of resources.
Developing value chains and building human capabilities, stressing Algeria’s readiness to share its experience with sister African countries,
Especially in the areas of exploration, production, conversion, formation, and research and development.
President Tebboune stressed that Algeria places African cooperation at the heart of its foreign policy.
It attaches special importance to structured regional projects that promote economic integration,
It supports energy security and contributes to achieving common development, renewing Algeria’s commitment to accompanying African efforts aimed at building a strong, united and sustainable continental economy.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, participated as a representative of the President of the Republic in the opening of the works of the International Exhibition of Mines, Quarries and Hydrocarbons “Simica Chad 2026”.
Held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, during the period from 21 to 23 January 2026 in the capital, N’Djamena.
The opening ceremony was held under the supervision of the Chadian Prime Minister, Mr. Alamai Halina, in the presence of an Algerian delegation that included ministers, high officials and representatives of major national councils.
In addition to the broad participation of actors and experts from several African countries, within the framework of strengthening dialogue and partnerships in the mining and hydrocarbons sectors and supporting the development path on the continent.
