At the beginning of his speech, the President thanked the Ethiopian authorities and the leadership of the African Union for the good organization, stressing that this summit represents an important institutional milestone for presenting the outcome of the Algerian presidency for the period 2024-2026, and handing over the torch to the Republic of Uganda in accordance with the rules in force within the mechanism.
The President explained that Algeria’s commitment, as a founding member of the mechanism established in 2003, falls within the framework of its commitment to promoting the principles of good governance and African solutions to continental challenges, in line with the priorities of the African Union, especially Agenda 2063 and African governance, peace and security structures.

He also highlighted the progress achieved in the project to establish the African Credit Rating Agency, as a strategic initiative to enhance the economic resilience of the continent, as well as the voluntary financial support provided by Algeria worth one million dollars, which enabled the programming and implementation of several country assessments.
The President affirmed that Algeria will hand over the presidency of the forum to Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, with its commitment to continue supporting efforts to strengthen governance in Africa, and to contribute to developing the capabilities of member states in coordination with their partners within the mechanism.
