Official launch of the data governance system to enhance digital sovereignty – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

In a strategic step to strengthen digital sovereignty and consolidate transparency in data management, Prime Minister Sefi Gharib supervised, today, Monday, in Algiers, the official announcement of the entry into service of the national data governance system.

The launch ceremony took place at the International Conference Center “Abdellatif Rahal”, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and in the presence of the High Minister of Digitization, Meriem Ben Mouloud, and the Advisor to the President of the Republic, Farid Yassi, along with a number of members of the government staff and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria.

This project comes within the framework of implementing the state’s strategic directions aimed at establishing an integrated data governance system, based on tight regulation and ensuring transparency, in a way that enhances the effectiveness of public policies, supports the path of digital transformation, and contributes to improving the quality of public services directed to citizens.
