The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Al-Saghir Saadawi, confirmed that the educational system is considered the guardian of national identity and that it has a direct relationship with social security, indicating that addressing educational topics must be done in a responsible manner based on respect for the chapters of the educational process, highlighting that the President of the Republic pays great attention to the educational family.

During a training day organized by the Ministry of Communication for the benefit of journalists and media professionals specializing in educational affairs, Saadawi praised this participatory initiative that aims to introduce the sector from within and clarify some concepts and terminology related to national education, explaining that this participatory work between the Ministries of Education and Communication allows for the exchange of knowledge, as media professionals benefit from direct knowledge of the sector’s specificities, while the Ministry benefits from media experience in improving communication with citizens.

In the context of his speech, the Minister thanked and appreciated the educational family consisting of professors, supervisors, advisors and inspectors in 30,000 educational institutions at the national level, stressing that they carry out a noble mission in educating and training 12 million students who represent a real wealth for the nation. He also indicated that the President of the Republic paid great attention to the educational family by directing him to create a new basic law that raises the status of workers in the sector from employees to educators, which was actually embodied in the law. Basic law issued in January 2025.

The Minister stressed that this presidential interest places a great responsibility on the Ministry of Education to develop performance and improve educational curricula and programs, in a manner that responds to developments in the field of knowledge and pedagogical curricula.

The Minister recorded some observations about addressing educational topics in the media, calling for the necessity of taking information from its official source, as he announced the formation of a media cell that works around the clock to provide accurate information to journalists. He also called for the necessity of agreeing on the use of terms and phrases that indicate their true meaning, and avoiding the use of intimidation language that may negatively affect social stability, stressing that the education sector needs a calm and responsible media language. The Minister also touched on the issue of training before integration stipulated in the new basic law, explaining that this procedure It falls within the framework of improving the professional and social situation of sector employees in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic.

He explained that direct integration benefited employees who had seven years of experience or more, while those with four to seven years of experience benefited from integration after undergoing training, in order to ensure justice and enable the largest possible number to benefit in light of the available financial capabilities.

The Minister concluded his speech by emphasizing that the relationship between the Ministry of Education and trade union organizations is based on open dialogue and participatory work in the service of the public interest, calling on the media to accompany the sector with responsible language that protects the sensitivity of educational issues and contributes to maintaining social stability.
