The artistic team crowned 22 medals, including 10 golds in African school games – Algerian dialogue

The school team for the artistic gymnastics in the competitions that was brought down by the curtain today, Thursday, in the multi -sports hall, Bashash, Mohamed Belkacem, in the city of Constantine, a total of 22 medals, including 10 gold, as part of the first edition of African school games 2025 in Algeria from July 26 to August 5 in the states of Annaba, Constantine, Setif and Skikda.

The male category won a total of 14 medals, including 7 gold, 6 silver and one bronze, while female gymnastics achieved 8 medals, including 3 golds, two silver two and 3 bronze.

In this context, the coach of the national team for gymnastics (males), Mustafa Ushovin, told/W and Aj on the sidelines of the conclusion of the continental competition, saying, “We have achieved a very honorable result of Algeria, as our ambition at the beginning was the competition for the largest number of medals, which reflects the good level of the preparation that we did several months ago.”

The same spokesman added that this achievement will be a strong incentive to continue working to develop this sport at the school level, especially since Algeria embraces for the first time this important continental date.

For her part, the coach of the national team for gymnastics (female), Nayla Batat, expressed that “the players performed a distinguished performance during the various phases of competition despite the great pressure and the high level that the competing teams showed,” explaining that “the girls were at the level of aspirations and we have succeeded in raising the national flag thanks to the discipline and the great work we have made since the beginning of preparations.”

For reference, the gymnastics competitions that took place in the multi -sports hall in Bashash, Mohamed Belkacem (700 seats), were known, 24 sports, including 13 gymnastics representing 7 African countries.
