The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, congratulated the Algerian people on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to make it a month of goodness, blessings and solidarity.
President Tebboune said, in his congratulatory message, “O fellow citizens, we thank God Almighty that we have the blessed month of Ramadan with its divine blessings. On this occasion, I am pleased to address all Algerian men and women with my sincere congratulations and best blessings, asking God Almighty to make it a month of goodness, blessings and solidarity.”
In his message, the President of the Republic praised all the efforts that made our country immune from all fluctuations by providing all the products the citizen needs, while consolidating all of our efforts to preserve this abundance and avoid all forms of speculation and waste.
President Tebboune concluded his message by saying, “Also, as we are on the cusp of the month of mercy and forgiveness, I do not forget to congratulate the members of our community abroad on this occasion, without forgetting our brothers in wounded Palestine, hoping that God Almighty will alleviate their suffering.”
The President of the Republic concluded his message by saying, “Have a blessed Ramadan and Ramadan Kareem. Long live a free and proud Algeria. Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.”
The National Committee for New Crescents and Islamic Times, affiliated with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, announced on Tuesday evening that Thursday, February 19, 2026 AD, is the first day of Ramadan 1447 AH.
The statement of the committee meeting at the house of Imam Sidi Abdel Rahman Al-Thaalabi in Muhammadiyah stated that Wednesday will complete Shaaban, as the sighting of the Ramadan crescent has not been confirmed in any of the states of the country.
