The President of the Republic confirms the state’s adherence to the free education – new Algeria

The President of the Republic, Abdul Majeed Taboun, affirmed the state’s adherence to the free education, stressing its commitment to preserve its social nature.

Upon his supervision of the International Conference Center, “Abdel Latif Rahal”, a meeting with economic dealers in order to enhance the success of the fourth edition of the African Bilateral Trade Exhibition (4-10 September 2025), the President of the Republic explained that “Algeria will not abandon the free education”, despite the weight of the cost it constitutes on the state budget.

In this context, he highlighted the gains that were achieved thanks to the efforts made by the country in the field of education, pointing to the great efforts that eliminated illiteracy in Algeria, “after it was in the range of 90 percent after independence.”
