The Ministry of Health launches an awareness campaign for those suffering from chronic diseases before Ramadan – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Wednesday, in Algiers, the Ministry of Health organized a study day on “Ramadan and Health,” as part of a national campaign to educate people with chronic diseases about the necessity of consulting a doctor before fasting.

The Ministry’s Secretary-General, Mohamed Talhi, stressed the importance of enhancing prevention and disseminating reliable health information to protect the groups most at risk.

The Director General of Prevention and Health Promotion, Jamal Fourar, also stressed the role of the doctor in determining the possibility of fasting.

While the National Health Security Agency focused on raising awareness of healthy nutritional practices and following medical guidance.

The campaign targets all states of the country to ensure early awareness and prevention of any health complications during the holy month of Ramadan.
