The Office of University Publications launches the printing of university books in English – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Wednesday, the Office of University Publications announced the start of printing a group of university books in English for the year 2026, within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance academic openness and support scientific publishing with an international dimension.

The statement explained that the project aims to keep pace with the transformations in the higher education sector, and to enhance the use of the English language in teaching and scientific research, in a way that raises the quality of academic training, advances national scientific production, and integrates it into the international scientific space.

The publications include academic books in various scientific disciplines prepared by university professors in accordance with approved standards in university publishing, to ensure solid scientific content that meets the needs of students, professors and researchers.

The Diwan indicated that adopting the English language comes as part of efforts to strengthen the digital library, which has been open internationally since late 2025, as publications can be purchased electronically via the link: udl.opu.dz.www, which contributes to strengthening the presence of Algerian scientific production globally.

The Bureau stressed that this initiative confirms its commitment to supporting university writing, diversifying publishing languages, and developing the higher education and scientific research system in line with national pedagogical reforms.
