On Sunday, the General Directorate of Civil Protection organized a national field maneuver to simulate the fight against forest fires at the level of the states of Skikda and Jijel, in order to enhance capabilities in the field of leadership and operational management, and raise the level of readiness in anticipation of the summer season 2025 and confront any emergency.
This exercise that extends during the days of 21, 22 and 23 June, aims to test the readiness of the field teams and coordinate interventions between the various interlocutors, by activating the planning planners under the supervision of both the governor of Skikda and the governor of Jijel Province.
On the eve of the launch of the maneuver, a technical coordination meeting was held that included the maneuvering frameworks devoted to controlling the final arrangements related to the organizational and operational aspects.
In this context, the Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Boualam Bouglaf, supervised the field of inspection of the mobile and participating particles, and he also examined the operational leadership centers at the level of the states concerned, along with the central command center responsible for coordination between the various leadership centers at the level of the states of Skikda and Jijel.
This exercise comes within the framework of strengthening multi -sectors coordination, raising the level of readiness in anticipation of the 2025 summer season and facing any emergency related to forest fires.
