The club’s statement said: Official pageOn the Facebook platform: “The management of the Mouloudia Algiers Club extends its sincere apologies to its loyal fans, especially the supporters who moved to South Africa and supported the team despite the hardship of traveling to the city of Pretoria, the far south of the continent, following the loss to Mamelodi Sundowns and exclusion from the group stage of the African Champions League competition.”
The statement added: “The disappointment felt by everyone is shared within the club by the management, technical staff and players, because Mouloudia, with its fans, history and heritage, was created in order to compete for the first rounds, and we know very well that our fans were waiting for the best from us, and they have the right to be angry and it is our duty to bear responsibility for this failure in the strongest continental club competitions, which requires greater experience and redoubling of efforts at all levels and with the combined efforts of everyone from the club’s sons and fans.”
The capital administration also added: “The administration confirms that it will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of this participation, and work to correct errors and draw the necessary lessons, in order to return stronger in the future to African arenaIn a manner befitting the club’s history and the ambitions of its supporters.
