Providing 2,300 additional trips to transport passengers at land stations

The National Company for the Exploitation and Management of Land Stations for Passenger Transport “Sogral” has written a special program for Eid al-Fitr, which includes providing 2,300 additional trips through various land stations, in order to accommodate the surplus demand expected during this occasion.

A statement from the company explained that “Sogral” has written a program to intensify flights, starting from last Saturday until next Friday and a week after Eid al-Fitr to ensure the return of travelers, which includes providing 2,300 additional flights through various land stations to accommodate the expected surplus demand, which may reach approximately 350,000 passengers daily, while ensuring that carriers adhere to the shift program during this religious occasion in coordination with the transportation directorates.

According to the statement, 364 ticket purchase counters were provided across various stations, including 148 counters equipped with electronic payment devices, in addition to circulating the “My Station” application to include 62 land stations in order to enable citizens to purchase their tickets online without the hassle of traveling to land stations.

In this context, the public company indicated that it had recorded the sale of 35,000 tickets online, since the launch of the “My Station” application, which also allows, through its “SOS Danger” section, rapid digital reporting of drivers who maneuver and cause problems and suffering to their customers.
Through it, more than 4,700 reports were received to the listening cell, which was installed by “Sogral”.

On the other hand, to take care of travelers, the company suspended all weekly and annual holidays for cleaning and security workers, in coordination with the various state transportation directorates that grant exceptional licenses, as well as the Public University Corporation for Transport and Services, according to the same source.

In addition, it has developed a proactive and post-operative work plan with the various branches of National Security, Civil Protection, and the National Gendarmerie to maintain public order inside the stations, and to ensure rapid intervention in urgent cases.

In the field of awareness-raising, Sogral has programmed campaigns to prevent and reduce traffic accidents during the Eid days for the benefit of long-distance bus and vehicle drivers, the statement adds.
