The Central Director of the Ministry of Youth, Ramadan Yakhlef, described the “Nurturing Young Leaders” initiative, which was announced by Youth Minister Mustafa Hidaoui, as a unique initiative of its kind, noting that it aims to accompany a thousand young Algerians with distinguished projects, to be effective project leaders in society.
Yakhlef Ramadan said, in a statement on national radio, that the Ministry of Youth will be responsible for adopting the initiatives of these young people, as they will undergo a training program at the hands of nationally and internationally known professionals and competencies, over the course of a full year.
The spokesman explained that those concerned are obligated, after the end of the training period, to transfer the experience they have acquired to 30 other young people at the level of clubs and youth homes, which will lead to increasing the number of young people who benefit indirectly from this initiative.
The spokesman pointed out that the training program will include several fields, including politics, diplomacy, culture, media and sports, and aims to develop the capabilities of young people and enable them to contribute positively to state programs and community mobility.
He also pointed out that the Ministry’s strategy in dealing with the concerns of youth is based mainly on increasing the attractiveness of youth institutions and attracting this broad group.
Ramadan Yakhlef stressed that the Ministry is preparing to launch a new program during the year 2026 after youth centers benefit from a significant financial envelope within the framework of the new finance law, in order to modernize these institutions and make them more attractive, in line with the aspirations of young people and ensuring their attraction and effective participation within these structures and institutions.
He also pointed out that the Ministry launched, starting in 2025, a broad program to rehabilitate a large number of youth institutions and spaces, confirming the emergence of the first indicators of success and response to this reform outlook on the ground.
