The Ministry of Justice organizes a meeting on international judicial cooperation – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the Center for Legal and Judicial Research, is organizing a training meeting entitled “Mechanisms of International Criminal Judicial Cooperation” on December 24 and 25, 2025, at the residence of the judges, Al-Abyar.

Judges from the Ministry of Justice, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs will participate in the meeting, in addition to representatives of the National Central Office of Interpol Algeria and the Financial Inquiry Processing Cell.

The program includes discussing the latest developments in the circulation of arrest warrants.

Extradition of criminals, formal and informal cooperation mechanisms, in addition to official notifications and notification of judicial contracts.

About 100 participants from the assistant public prosecutors in the judicial councils in charge of international cooperation will participate in the meeting.

Investigative judges at the national and regional specialized centers, along with representatives of the Center for Legal and Judicial Research and judges from the military judicial authorities.

The meeting aims to enhance the judges’ capabilities in following up on international cooperation files.

Improving the quality of Algerian requests addressed to foreign judicial authorities,

Especially with regard to international judicial rogatories, extradition requests, requests for the recovery of proceeds of crime, and other forms of judicial cooperation.
