Today, Monday, the Ministry of Justice announced the opening of a recruitment competition on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with the aim of joining the profession of official translator and interpreter.

According to the statement published on the Ministry’s official page, “The Ministry of Justice announces the opening of the competition to join the profession of translator – official translator on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Any person who wishes to join the profession and meets the conditions mentioned below can participate in the competition.”

The statement included the conditions for participation in the competition, including that he must be of Algerian nationality and be at least 25 years old. The holder must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in translation from the Translation Institute or an equivalent foreign certificate. He has practiced the translation profession for a period of no less than five (5) years in the translation service of a judicial or administrative body, public or private body or institution, organization, public office for official translation, or a foreign office for translation.

The statement added that the candidate must enjoy his civil and national rights, and candidates who hold a university degree or an equivalent university degree in the following foreign languages ​​(Italian, Turkish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Dutch, Indian, Malay) are exempt from the age and professional experience requirements. and sign language).

The statement also pointed out that among the documents required in the registration file are the following documents: The registration form on the electronic platform. Extract from birth contract. A copy of the biometric identification card. Two photographs. A copy of the required university degree. A work certificate proving at least five years of seniority in the translation department. A certificate delivered by the administration that has the authority to appoint, authorizing the candidate who has employee status at the date of filing the file to participate in the competition, and pledging to accept his resignation in the event of his final success. A copy of the transfer for payment of participation rights in the competition, paid in the name of the accounting agent of the University of Algiers1.

The statement noted that the initial registration period for the competition starts from April 29, 2024 to May 8, 2024 via the official website of the Ministry of Justice https://concours.mjustice.dz/

The candidate shall also deposit the nomination file, which includes the documents specified below, at the headquarters of the Judicial Council mentioned in the initial registration form, starting from May 9, 2024 to May 23, 2024.

As for the conduct of the tests, the competition may include written tests for admission and an oral test for final admission. The written tests for admission will be conducted on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Faculty of Law, University of Algiers 1. The written tests for admission include the subjects mentioned in the attached table. Oral final acceptance is an interview with the committee on general legal culture and the ability to express one of the examined subjects mentioned in the appendix.
