The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends an important statement to “Al-Harrafa” – New Algeria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs announced today, Monday, that citizens who are abroad in a fragile and illegal situation can regularize their status and be able to join the homeland within an organized framework, according to a statement from the ministry.

The Foreign Ministry statement said: “In implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to regularize the status of citizens residing abroad in a fragile and illegal situation and who are the subject of judicial or administrative procedures related to small acts related to public order or other such incidents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs knows that those concerned can regularize their status and be able to join the homeland within an organized framework.”

In the same context, the Ministry called on those concerned to approach the Algerian diplomatic and consular representations in their countries of residence in order to submit settlement requests and deposit the files required to benefit from this procedure, provided that they do not commit the acts for which they are being prosecuted again.

The Ministry also reaffirmed the state’s keenness to accompany and protect members of the national community residing abroad and to take care of their concerns, in compliance with the high instructions of the country’s higher authorities.
